1. Introduction
Medex (“Medex”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a mobile application that provides dental products and educational content, including online courses, student features, and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the Medex mobile application (the “App”) and related services operated by Medex Dental Solutions (“Controller”).
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information we collect
2.1 Account and profile
When you register or sign in, we may collect:
- Email address, name, and profile identifiers you provide
- Authentication credentials when you use email and password (processed via Firebase Authentication and our backend as part of providing your account)
- Student-related profile and membership information as implemented in the App (e.g. membership level, dashboard data)
- Delivery or contact details you add (e.g. saved addresses) when you use order- or delivery-related features
2.2 Education and usage
We may process information about how you use Medex, such as:
- Course browsing, enrollments, lesson progress, and related activity
- Reviews or feedback you submit about courses
- In-app notifications and notification history, where available
2.3 Device and technical data
To run the App securely and deliver push notifications, we may collect:
- Device and app information (e.g. device model, operating system, app version)
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device tokens and related registration data sent to our servers for push notifications
- IP address and standard server logs when you connect to our API
- Locale, timezone, or similar preferences where you or the App provide them
2.4 Location
If you use features that rely on maps or location (e.g. address selection, store or delivery context), we may collect approximate or precise location as permitted by your device settings and only for those features. You can control location access in your device settings.
2.5 Content you upload
If the App allows uploads (e.g. images or documents via gallery, camera, or file picker), we process the files you choose to submit for the purposes described in this policy and as shown in the App.
2.6 Communications
If you contact support or we send service messages, we process the content of those communications and related metadata.
2.7 Local storage on your device
The App may store data locally on your device (for example using on-device databases or app storage) to support offline or faster access. That data remains on your device unless it is also synchronized with our servers according to App functionality.
3. How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features (courses, membership, products, and related flows)
- Authenticate you, secure your account, and manage sessions
- Process enrollments, track progress, and display educational content
- Send service-related communications, including push notifications (where you have opted in or where permitted by platform rules)
- Operate maps, addresses, and location-assisted features where you use them
- Analyze reliability, fix bugs, and protect against fraud or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Legal basis (where applicable)
If laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on:
- Performance of a contract (providing the App and services you request)
- Legitimate interests (security, improvement, analytics commensurate with privacy expectations), where not overridden by your rights
- Consent where required (e.g. certain notifications or optional tracking, depending on platform and settings)

Third parties that help us host, operate, or secure the App, including:

5.2 Embedded content
Educational content may include playback or references that interact with third parties (e.g. video sources). Those third parties may collect data according to their own policies when you use their content.
5.3 Legal and safety
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of users and the service.
We require processors to handle data only on our instructions and with appropriate safeguards.
6. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries where we or our providers operate, including outside your country of residence. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent measures) for cross-border transfers.
7. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law. Criteria include the nature of the data, your ongoing relationship with Medex, and legal or dispute-resolution needs.
8. Security
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we work to reduce risk in line with industry practice.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

10. Children
Medex is not directed at children under the minimum age required in your jurisdiction for independent consent to data processing (often 13 or 16, depending on region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that threshold. If you believe we have, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at https://bonegraft.anmka.com/privacy-policy and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated through the App or by other reasonable means where required.
